American Pride: Quilts from the Christ Collection

The Virginia Quilt Museum continues the 2016 Christopher Columbus Grandle Lecture series with an event on June 11, 2016. This event in the series features two Pat and Arlan Christ lectures, which focus discussion about quilts from Pennsylvania’s Dutch heritage. The following are the lecture topics on June 11:

10:30 am “American Pride”

1:30 pm “The Captain James Andrew Quilt”

Both lectures take place at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, 258 S. Main St., Harrisonburg.  An Artists’ Reception follows the lectures at 3:00 at the Virginia Quilt Museum (301 S. Main Street, Harrisonburg).  Guests can enjoy light fare, have the opportunity to tour all five exhibits, and meet the other curators – Paula Golden and Wayne Harrison –  along with quilt artists.
