HR Business Resiliency Fund

The Regional COVID-19 Business Support Taskforce was formed to coordinate support and resources for businesses in the Harrisonburg and Rockingham area in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Regional COVID-19 Business Support Taskforce received $50,000 from F&M Bank to assist small businesses impacted by the situation. The Taskforce has determined that the best use of these funds would be to put it in the hands of small businesses that need immediate help to ensure on-going operations, retain employees and keep this sector of the community’s economy moving. Grants will be up to $5,000, balancing the needs of individual businesses with the anticipated demand for assistance.

The Taskforce established the HR Business Resliency Fund with the Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County to accept additional donations to assist with the support to area small businesses, in an effort to help maintain the community’s overall well-being in this time of uncertainty. The intent is a very quick turnaround for review and awarding of grants.
